Thank you. Exhausting people are exhausting. I know we should flag and not respond, truly I do, but I just don’t have it in me to leave covidiot FUD stand unchallenged. I am sorry for making your job tougher than it needs to be.

has been banned for celebrating the demise of Police to COVID.
Regardless of your feelings towards law enforcement, celebrating their deaths is completely uncalled-for, and doubly so to COVID-19. Every death to this disease is a tragedy. Every one.

has been banned for repeatedly trying to post off-topic walls of text about Ivermectin in topics that have nothing to do with the drug, and nothing else.
Not to be too proud… I sniffed out his intentions with the first post and avoided Seamus thereafter. We have a couple of sea lions at work who occasionally attempt to practice their ugly routine at meetings when management is not about. I have too much experience.

has been given a timeout for continuing to propose that masks are worse than COVID, despite warnings to the contrary.
Are there possible effects on young children from being in masks, seeing others in masks, and all of the social changes brought on as a result of the pandemic? Undoubtedly. But to suggest that those harms are worse than COVID and that COVID isn’t all that bad anyway is a bridge too far. If you feel you need to argue that position, do so elsewhere.
Whether it’s masks or vaccines or gun control laws or whatever, I am so sick of hearing people say, “X has this downside; therefore, X is a horrible idea.”
They always seems to ignore the downsides of not having X and pretend that we live in a world where downsides can somehow be wholly avoided. If you want to talk about the downsides of doing something, then you also have to acknowledge the downsides of not doing it.
It’s a variation of the Nirvana Fallacy, a bad-faith tactic beloved of ammosexuals: if something isn’t 100% effective we shouldn’t do it at all.
And adverse consequences of not doing something don’t count. Ever.

has been banned for blanketing the site with malicious, frivolous flags on the same users over and over going back months.
(@anon61221983 - to your question - live demonstration of why there are flag limits, apparently!)
Makes sense!

has been banned for deciding to mix posts about their disappointment with Boing Boing and the members of the BBS with rape jokes.
Several more folks were also banned for attempting to derail posts with the same tactics. At this point, and given the number of “old” accounts doing this, I am fairly certain this is an organized campaign to leverage Boing Boing’s Whuffie to spread misinformation, and will not be celebrating each trolley as we remove them.
Might not be a bad idea to kick everyone into a password reset or similar “reverification” process.
This sounds to me like people have bought a bunch of accounts and are botting.
May their names be stricken from the record of history like a common ■■■■■.
Wat? BBS accounts are somehow for sale?
Everything with an email login and a commonly used password are for sale.
