User rushmc apparently joined the BBS for the express purpose of pointing out how little value the BBS and Boing Boing have. We’ve generally found that most folks are capable of making up their own minds on the value of their own time, and have ensured that this user no longer needs to waste their efforts here going forward as a result.

User TrashPanda has been banned for, not for the first time, passive-agressively calling out the communty for disagreeing with him, for the community flagging their posts, and for the moderators otherwise agreeing that their posts violated the community guidelines here.
We have a topic specifically to talk about moderation. We have this topic to try and make those decisions transparent. I spend quite a bit of time explaining moderation decisions to individuals who are affected directly when they ask about them.
Our transparency and willingness to discuss these issues is NOT licence to passive-agressively bring up the issue of your moderation to other posters, in unrelated posts, just because you are upset that you cannot act inappropriately the way you want to without consequences. And then do it again after being moderated for that behaviour, too.
“Don’t be Oscar” would appear to apply here.
