CLUB STATEMENT

Web Admin18 Jan - 15:00

Thursday 18th January, 2024;

We regret to announce that Nuneaton Borough FC will be withdrawing from this season’s Southern Central Premier League.

Despite the dedicated efforts of our sponsors and officials, the club faces insurmountable challenges in maintaining operations.

Our legal advisors have confirmed that the offer put forward to purchase Liberty Way will not be considered, and no new lease will be given to any entity.

Unfortunately, armed with this information our future investors have had to withdraw any future support.

Furthermore, without additional investment or new investors to provide financial support, the club is unable to continue trading.

In light of these circumstances, we are now considering the liquidation process.

This decision comes with a heavy heart, and we deeply appreciate the unwavering support from our loyal fans and the football community during this challenging time.

It’s only been ten years since they just missed out on the promotion playoffs to the EFL.

NFL’s policy over cold-weather games questioned after fans treated for hypothermia and frostbite at Chiefs-Dolphins game

I watched the Lions game.

I grew up in Detroit and currently live just outside of Detroit.

I feel nothing. Maybe next week if they win but right now, meh.

What do we think their chances are?

I almost put some money down on the game but I couldn’t decide which way to go.

I hope they do well. They looked good today.

I’m glad they won but the unlimited greed of the NFL slipping in more and more ads (even immediately after returning from an ad break), and needing to sign up for yet another streamer just to watch a game has seriously dampened my enthusiasm.
On the other hand, I am always happy when Detroit is; except when the Red Wings win.
49ers defense scares me but fingers crossed.

As a Vikings fan I don’t much care either.

I’m a Habs fan too, it’s being a couple long seasons.

Rodgers doesn’t have to be content to be Kaepernick’s right-wing doppelgänger. He can still use his fame to say something about unity in the face of division. But he won’t do it by accident or even after sitting in a dark cave. Struggle is not just how we change society. It’s how we change ourselves. But without personal transformation, Rodgers’s personal journey could place him across the barricade from Kaepernick. Let’s hope there are people close to Rodgers who can argue and engage with him, steering him toward a different path.

Anthro night at the Knicks game was an success

So I’m watching the Lions game because I got a couple bucks on the game but also because I was promised Journey for the half time show.

Wtf? Where’d they go?

Oh well, at least the Lions appear to be on the way.

We had chicken wings and homemade pizza today for the game, my wife says I can have chicken wings again in a couple weeks. That’s something to look forward to.

Niners are looking to keep it interesting.

I’m still getting chicken wings.

I had money on Lions winning the first half and the game.

But they have to do both.

Side note, what’s with Aiyuk’s tail? I’ve been googling but there is no definitive answer.

Good on the chicken wings. :+1:

I don’t know what you mean by Aiyuk’s tail. His hair? It seems to be dangling out the back like it should.

Him and a couple other players have a very long skinny piece of fabric coming out of their pants from the waist.

But to me, it’s way to skinny to be a hand towel. At first I thought their jerseys were ripped.

Ah, I see. Yeah, a few guys have it in the back or on the side. They look like towels to me, maybe they cut them up as full-sized ones get in the way too much.

ETA: Jarred Goff and a few other Lions players have them too.

ETAA: What am I thinking? This is the NFL, they’re probably specially made.
