Marvel is good with disciplined storylines that pay off, so this could work well.

I don’t think Martin has any plans to ever work on, much less finish, those books. He clearly lost any serious interest in the story and I think he takes a perverse delight in the anguish of fans who have been waiting a decade for the next book. I am foolish enough to have been reading these books since 1996 but I long ago gave up on them.
Two WILD CARDS comics already published. Yawn.
