Do you ever pause, look at what you are doing, and think maybe there’s some nobler cause to take up than defending the overzealous neighborhood watch guy with a chip on his shoulder and totally inappropriate sense of authority who stalked a teen in his neighborhood, cursing at the teen and calling him a punk on a phone call to the police, getting himself worked up about his projected falsely imagined imagined wrongdoings of that teen walking home, ignoring advice from the police to let them deal with it, and then got into a confrontation that ended with him shooting a black teen to death in his neighborhood? Whatever you want to say about Zimmerman, he hasn’t been a beacon of exemplary judgement (moral or otherwise) before, during, or after the event, and his deeply flawed judgments played a major role in why that teen needlessly died. What’s the appeal of defending that particular guy that makes you feel like it’s a cause you want to take up?
Then there would have been more shots fired that missed. Obviously he was competent enough to at least pull a trigger.
Conjecture, or running through the most likely scenarios, and showing how your suspensions make little sense?

Look no further than his username and avatar.
Hey!
Oh come now, don’t be difficult…
Easy. He was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Of course, if you prefer, we COULD implement kangaroo courts and death squads, but I rather think you’d prefer the current system. By all means, correct me if I’m wrong. . .
It may seem like splitting hairs, but there’s an important distinction - Warhol didn’t re-create the soup label and call it art, he painted a depiction of the can - it’s essentially still life. If someone just creates an oil-paint version of a copyright protected image then it’s essentially just a low-fi photocopy. (I didn’t know that’s what was happening here, just thought I’d explain the difference)
Well, I’d prefer something a little more egalitarian in its meting out of justice, but it’s better than death squads. Unless you’re sentenced to death, of course…
I initially saw the Mister44 handle and thought maybe it was a reference to a song or something. And I saw the bullet thing, but thought it was a reference to some cowboy movie. I can be a little oblivious to obvious cues sometimes. But, yeah, gun nut. When your religion is guns, you wind up with some really screwy saints like the mental health disaster that is George Zimmerman.
No, to yourself, silly girl. You’re not supposed to have any opinions, anyway. Not unless a big, brave man such as Kirkhunter tells you to have them, amirite?
I dunno, I pretty much disagree with ol’ @Mister44 on guns, but he’s okay, y’know. Please can we not argue about guns? It’s booooooorrrrrinnnnngggg…
You know what else is foolhardy? Stalking someone you believe to be a criminal through an unfamiliar neighborhood, at night, after police tell you not to. So we already know foolhardiness was abroad that night. Zimmerman’s alleged decision to wave a loaded shotgun at his ex-wife doesn’t really paint him as a very calm and cautious individual either.
Still, art is an interesting career choice for Zimmerman. Personally, I’m surprised he didn’t manage to score a promotional deal after his visit to the gun factory.
Well it’s produced by professional designers, so actually that’s pretty reasonable
“Bleeding heart liberals” must be code for people who are concerned about humans not within their immediate circles. Count me in!
I totally didn’t catch that at first, and then I looked again and saw the woman’s reflection. Also, is she pantless, but with a bra? What?
I hereby award you this shirt, Xeni.
(I’m hoping to get one for Christmas myself.)
I’d probably do the same if I had the chance to engage my attacker before they got a shot in.
lol, post about a total asshole draws total assholes out of the woodwork, who’d a thunk it
