Georgia sheriff’s spokesman investigating spa shootings appeared to promote racist shirt

I know this isn’t going to come as a huge surprise, but . . . . Capt. Jay Baker, he of the “yesterday was a really bad day for him” fame, has a history of Anti-Asian racist Facebook posts.

A Facebook page appearing to belong to a Georgia sheriff’s office spokesman who is helping to investigate the recent massage parlor shootings promoted a T-shirt with racist language about China and the coronavirus last year.

“Place your order while they last,” the March 2020 Facebook post said, along with a smiley face emoji.

<I wish I had something pithy to put here, but it’s so unsurprising and yet still effing insane>
