The trick is not to be absolved, but rather to negotiate what exactly your responsibilities are. And to whom.
Ironically, all “adult” means to many is being conditioned to accept being irresponsible for most things.
I wonder if I can find those stickers I once saw again. They were for adult achievements, like “I did my taxes” “I had a pap smear” and “I survived another meeting that should have been an email.”
