Imagine the indignant outrage about body image if Mattel tried this with Barbie.
I don’t see why. This allows kids to modify their doll in any way they like – applying and re-applying makeup, making monster face-paint, making the doll into a zombie, etc etc – instead of having a generic “beautiful face” (yechh) permanently plastered on.
Gaaah those things have all the uncanny of the Team America dolls, with none of the warmth.
