Did all the sub-pages go with it (like io9?)?
True… we hope. Although sometimes, a company buying out another will wait a while before canning the employees from the acquired company… or just make it difficult for them to stick around for whatever reason.

My experience with buyouts is, they usually keep you just long enough to drain every iota of knowledge from your brain, THEN they retrench you.
