true story: mosquito control dudes were walking this neighborhood yesterday and traipsing all through the yards, past peopleā€™s gates, looking for standing water and taking samples. freaked me right out, seeing this dude walk by my kitchen window, headed for the backyard! I guess the county does think it can ā€œinfringe mah raght ta breds me some skeetersā€!
ETA: not a particularly good plan, waltzing onto folks propertiesā€¦ at least some of the more Florida Man, gun dudes 'round heah

Yesterday went to check our sweet corn, just about ready to harvest, but found piles of chewed corn cobs instead. Damned raccoons had eaten every bloody ear. I went through stalk by stalk. Nothing left. Damn. Took it down and planted squash, zucchini and okra, see if there is time to get something. I really hate this year!

We ripped out a big daylily bed this year because the deer thought it was an all you can eat buffet. Never saw a flower.

My sister was diagnosed with brain cancer this year. Tumor is out, but now she is dealing with treatment etc.

Mother in law just discovered she has ovarian cancer this weekā€¦

So, yeah FUCK 2020. And there is no god to damn.
