I actually wonder how racists will take this development, given that Clark Gable was bi-racial, and that the film gave us Hattie McDaniel as the first African-American to receive an Oscar.

I think they’ll run around like Chicken Little (and like some commenters above), screaming about censorship and frozen peaches. I doubt they’ll listen to either of the two tidbits you mentioned, if they ever even hear them.
