In the way that only amazing, beautifully-played music can do, this had me a weepy mess by the middle section. It was done as a fundraiser for “Playing For Change.” A wonderfully happy way to start the day. I just wish they had listed all the musicians in the YouTube text.
Would love to still see this production, hoping it will still happen some day and soon because these folks aren’t going to live forever.
Yay!
We’ll see how it’s implemented.
If they allowed some out, it would make it MUCH easier to just drop service to that IP range (or dozen), the guys that run the trolls wouldn’t want to show their hand in that manner.
That’s what chains of proxies are for. I don’t recall the details, but a few years ago I was getting what looked like Russian probes on my site from an IP in France.
The Twitter trills are back, so I guess they’ve fixed it.
I’m curious to see how the FOP challenge to the law plays out, too. They say it’s against state law, but I’ve noticed in PA that there are many laws written with explicit exceptions for Philly and Pittsburgh, allowing for differences in those cities.
Me, knowing the internets knows this will be flooded with reports on every single rich person.
Oh I’m sure they’re using jumpboxes and similar, they probably had to set it up now, I suspect there was much less reason to when they could hide in loads of legitimate twiter traffic (an oxymoron?).
Hacking attempts are usually from compromised servers, as they’re going after bigger prizes than making twitterati upset, probably wouldn’t want to waste those sort of things for propaganda.
On the bright side, all the Russian trill accounts on Twitter now have a days-wide hole punched in their timelines. That should make them easy to pick out.
Call for the chief sturgeon, stat.
And have her bring the chef surgeon along too.
Awesome. Backdoor reparations of a sort? I hope it all doesn’t languish forever in Committee Land.
This was good to see there too:
