And there have been many college programs for incarcerated people. I’m not sure that the distinction of being wholly inside the prison is that important.
GA Perimeter College sends profs to the local prisons (and now that GSU has bought Perimeter, GSU profs are getting in on the act). it’s not the whole school, though. This is excellent!
Connecticut is showing how to fight back against anti-choice legislation in red states:

So… I’m not being lazy, I’m saving the planet!
But seriously… that’s lovely.
Great stuff!
I hate lawns. Those who have them could at least join the No Mow May movement.
I cut and weed the front yard so i dont get fined by the neighborhood. But my back yard is covered in dandelions. They feed the bees which pollinate all my veggies.
Oh man I’m with you here with this. It’s… a fraught situation.
Mind you, the local complainers are often the first neighbors to protest property tax increases.
Same. We don’t mow the back until it’s too hard for the kid to run around. We also push things with the front every spring. We mow way down at the beginning and wait as long as we can to mow again, so the tiny wildflowers have time to seed. Dandelions are fantastic. Great for the bees and our hard clay soil
Mo mow, mo problems.
My chickens mow my backyard. They fertilize it too. Or at least, the fertilizer they produce that the dogs don’t snack on helps the backyard. Front yard is small, and we use a battery-powered mower on it.
According to The Miami New Times, Chaz Stevens of Deerfield Beach, Fla., who is described as a “local political stunt activist” has taken the initiative to add the Bible to the list of banned books.
Now, he’s reportedly sending out petitions to Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) demanding that the Christian bible be banned from schools’ libraries and classrooms “citing its inclusion of inappropriate topics.”
Speaking to Miami New Times, Stevens further explained his position.
“If they’re gonna ban books, then the whole library should be in play. My hope — and it’s a longshot — is that they will apply their own standards to themselves and ban the Bible,” Stevens said.
Nice job attempting to use the fascist’s own law against them.
