The proceeds from Tuesday’s concert — titled “Ringo’s Big Birthday Show” — will go to the charities Black Lives Matter Global Network, The David Lynch Foundation, MusiCares and Water Aid.

“I love to paint, I love to play music, I love to make records and I love to go on tour,” Starr told the Daily News last summer during a tour with his All-Starr Band. “I love life.”

In the interview, Starr detailed his passion for performing with other musicians, his love for his adoring fans and his overall zest for life. Each year since 2008, the musician has encouraged his fans to take a moment to recognize “Peace and Love” at noon on his birthday.

Power Pioneer Invents New Battery That’s 90% Cheaper Than Lithium-Ion

Horie’s innovation is to replace the battery’s basic components – metal-lined electrodes and liquid electrolytes – with a resin construction. He says this approach dramatically simplifies and speeds up manufacturing, making it as easy as “buttering toast.” It allows for 10-meter-long battery sheets that can be stacked on top of each other “like seat cushions” to increase capacity, he said. Importantly, the resin-based batteries are also resistant to catching fire when punctured.
