I know that the google crystal is far more advanced and I certainly don’t fully understand it or the potential applications, but a lot of the discussion around it almost makes it sound like the quartz crystals we’ve using to build accurate clocks and watches for nearly a century now.

yeah, im curious how you “read” a time crystal and if the act of reading it alters it’s state at all. not even necessarily quantum like, but if whatever mechanical or light based means would interfere with or slow down the clock in some way.

If TV has taught me anything, fiddling with these sorts of crystals usually creates some sort of trouble. Nothing that can’t be solved in approximately 20 minutes, but trouble nonetheless.
