However it seems like its possible for any partnered company to purposefully access any camera if they wanted to. Perhaps Google can catch this behavior on their end but is it something that they actively look for? Doesn’t seem like it if this one customer was able to accidentally do so.

Yeah, that ‘random’ is the keyword here… I bet you a jelly donut it can still be used to access arbitrary feeds, if you have the right credentials…
