GOP Congressgangster Ralph Norman does not regret pulling a loaded gun on constituents from "Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense"

At least can the gun industry get together and decide whether concealed or open carry is a better deterrent in their security theater?

The concealed carriers call the open carriers sitting ducks and the open carriers call the concealers wimps. At least get your stories straight.

My, my, my! Such a lot of guns around town and so few brains! You know, you’re the second guy I’ve met today that seems to think a gat in the hand means the world by the tail.

It would be funnier if you used “loaded penis”.

CDC will be allowed to fund research into gun violence as a public health issue. However, today there is reporting that the Repubs want to play takesey-backsey with some provisions of the spending bill. The CDC language could be reversed. Stay tuned.

You say that like you never heard of civil war.

In the UK and IIRC Germany they edit out the nunchaku in the show because of some law censoring their use in film and TV. They also changed “ninja” to “hero” because ninjas are fucking scary.

Fun fact, “ninja stars” are illegal in Germany because all the ninja movies in the 70s scared them.

Fun fact 2, sling shots with wrist supports are also illegal in Germany because they were used to attack police in protests. Sling shots with no wrist support are ok.

I know. I was there… I still have my Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle mug (different from the one pictured but just as nunchuck-less).

There wasn’t exactly a law in the UK, just the censor’s whim. There was a lot of silly stuff done at the time and you had all the usual sources running stories about kids killing each other after watching ninja movies, etc.

1975 is the relevant year. 1999 too.

I remember in the 80s other kids bringing in “ninja” magazines with black and white photos and step by step moves. Some kids knew how to make ninja stars from 8.5 x 11 paper, and I paid a kid a buck so I could reverse engineer it.

Takesey-backsey? Did they have their fingers crossed? Otherwise, they’re stuffed.

Wasn’t that the end of a Mel Brooks film (or something like that)?

Toothpick?

It’s far more fun to learn by watching other people do it first. It really brings the theory alive!
