I also liked the campaign video about how Trump was inevitable, showing him as Thanos snapping away his opposition. They may not have understood whether he was actually inevitable, but at least they realized they’re the genocidal bad guys!

I’m OK with him pushing the trial date to 2026 as long as he’s remanded into pre trial custody as a flight risk. I’ll even be OK with them counting it as part of the time served off his sentence. Seems fair to me.

Depends. That one guy didn’t type out his book himself. He dictated (ha!) it to the other guy with the weird eyebrows. Which is where the other guy’s official job title in later years came from.

Yup. A minor technical point at best. For which a solution can and will be found after the fucker is convicted. And convicting the fucker is all that really matters.

I think an awful lotta people are squeamish about this b/c a preznit’s never been indicted, tried, nor imprisoned full stop. My BF and I were discussing that t’other night. Barring any other considerations, this is a very young nation - esp compared to European ones - and given enough time, a crooked jerk would eventually show up and get busted.

And as has been said a few times already: The fact that a former president is being tried after a failed coup is a good thing for Trump. In many countries, the response to a failed coup is not carried out in a courtroom.
