OK, answered my own question … attempting to break free is an action, so I cannot All Out Defend. Too bad, that would have made the difference!

Don’t forget that you’re at half dodge due to HP loss.

You too! That was quite enjoyable and a great refresher on some of the flow of GURPS combat.

I’m about to be away for a few days, but would you be interested in another round sometime? I think ranged weapons would be interesting to play out.

Thinking spears or gunfight at the OK Corral?

I’d be keen on a heavy armour or unarmed duel, too.

Hmm. You can only carry so many spears, but more modern firearms would possibly be a bit long ranged for this arena. (They’d also likely make for an amazingly short fight.) Short bows or crossbows, perhaps? (Or bows with a light melee weapon for backup … do you take the time for an aimed shot or do you charge across the floor hoping to get to your opponent first?)

Heavy armor would be fun too!

OK, I really need to finish that combat Sim website I was playing around with … one of these days, for sure.
