Or you know you can get bike tires with studs on them so you don’t have to go through the effort of welding or having a very dangerous ride.
If you watch the video, he had to weld lateral tabs on every tooth to keep the blades from cutting into the ice. So he literally just reinvented really terrible studded tires.

It seems like I just posted this the other day.
They do require modifying how you lean a bike into turns when on dry pavement, but they are outstanding on glare ice.
