My personal favorite is Fallout: Equestria, a five volume fanfic that imagines the cast of MLP in the post nuclear wastelands of their homeland.
Shockingly, it’s pretty good.

I love the remix culture that’s surrounded “Hamilton”, and Miranda’s embrace of it. It’s enhanced and extended my enjoyment of the play far past a single evening, created a legion of evangelists, and it’s done so without Miranda and his talented team grasping Disney-like at every bloody IP violation/revenue opportunity. Amazing what happens when an artistic creator actually embraces his trufans instead of treating them as enemies or sub-contractors.
