Shoot, considering they contain arsenic, you wouldn’t even want to touch them. Skin contact alone wouldn’t be enough to kill you, but it could be pretty unpleasant anyways, and if you didn’t clean your hands well enough afterwards, it could kill you. Also you wouldn’t even want to breathe near them.

Obligatory: *Shadows from the Walls of Death* (1874)

Sounds like a lost Lovecraft story, but it’s definitely worth looking through. The intensity and subtlety of the colors is impressive after 100+ years.
