That grief I’m feeling is the anticipation of things going to hell in a handbasket, because the one guy who’s supposed to be saying and doing things to help us see it through is doing exactly the opposite things.

Maybe a system where everything rests on one guy doing the right thing should take extra care not to pick the wrong guy?
