There are reports that the House Republican leadership have refused to bring up the bill, so KOSA is dead.

I can only imagine that this means that it wasn’t evil enough for their tastes, and it will be back in some new and even more hellish form in a future session of Congress. For now, however, it appears not to be going forward.

That’s basically the case. In order to get it past the Senate, some blatantly anti-LGBT stuff had to be watered down. So, yeah, they’re going to try again with an even worse version.
