There was a great Acting Master Class programme some years back with Michael Caine. He said the most important thing to do in movies is to pause and look down before delivering your line. This makes it look like your character is thinking about their response, giving them greater depth… more importantly, it is difficult to do a cut away, guaranteeing you more screen time… That proper acting that is!
And never to blink on camera!
