An unquestionably valuable invention, which is however now being used for people who just want to eat too much all the time and donāt mind having surgery to facilitate that drive.
Sometimes there is a fault in the hunger-eat regulation loop. Not everybody is strong willed enough to resist the perpetual feeling of hunger.

One of the subjects of the anorexia documentary āThinā has a feeding tube in her stomach. Her parents had it āinstalledā against her will so they could feed her whether she wanted to eat or not. Little did they know, she figured out how to vomit through the tubeā¦
