'Cause when people leave town, they never come back”

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a 9-year old that distressingly still held onto the belief that the sun followed her around no matter how fast or far she traveled, so (don’t tell anyone), she suspected she must be born with a very special purpose in this world.

This makes sense, because Earth’s mass curves space as such that gravimetric lines from the surface of the Earth all seem to point in one direction. “Down.”

That was published in 2013? Pah!
Jules Verne was a believer long before that!

One of the reviews for this book ended with (my bold):

“I was pretty disappointed in this book and the lack of detail. No substance to it.

A reviewer after my own heart!

I suggest every Flat Earther read the Kipling story “The Village that Voted the Earth was Flat”. I just reread it yesterday. I don’t suppose it would convert anyone but it might sew a seed of doubt. Anyway, It will amuse.
