How do I get one of these to just wear around town?
We haven’t yet watched the new Bill & Ted, but this scene looks like it may be worth it all alone.
The movie is better than it has a right to be for a long belated 2nd sequel.
That video was (dare I say it?) Excellent!
damn, this is so impressive. i love the big of film magic trickery used at the end to hide the seams from the fake suits to the actors. simple, and brilliant!
I like how they gave a “spoilers” warning at the beginning but no warning that there would be multiple unexpected, very realistic looking shots of a needle being injected into a nipple. Ouch!
If you enjoyed the previous two, you’ll probably like it. It really feels like it was made around the same time. If you try to look at it as a piece of modern film, you’ll be highly disappointed.
There’s an insane amount of call-backs, in-jokes, and a few running jokes that really fit the movie well. I picked it up at a release time special of all three movies digitally. There was another deal that also included the animated series (which I didn’t even know existed) but I didn’t want to be locked to MS’ platform.
Hey, so Hollywood can finally get around to making that King Conan movie!
That would be most excellent, by Crom!
Aw, it’s too close to Halloween to change now. A bodysuit might be an option for my Ernestine Shepherd costume next year, though!*
*Unless I go overboard with my isolation isometric workout plan, in which case I’ll just need a wig.
Get-em while they’re human. Upcoming action-show acting entities will be VRs or androids or hybrids. Humans will be relegated to non-profit community theater groups that can’t afford prefessionalism. Reality will be animated visuals.
If around town, one may wish to consider Mark Wahlberg’s upgrade as seen in Boogie Nights.
I was always impressed with the quality of Weird Al’s muscle suit considering that it was for a silly ‘80s movie.
This was very interesting. But the mannered delivery of the narrator just about pushed me over the edge.
@cannibalpeas If you enjoyed the first two films, and want to revisit the characters, it is an absolute delight. It is so nice to spend a couple of hours in something so kind hearted. There is no So-Crates this time but you can’t have everything.
I did when I was a kid (target demographic for sure) and recently rewatched both with Mrs Peas and young Miss and Master Peas. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they held up. Can’t wait!
I’m super keen to what The Peas think of the most recent film so please feel free to send a Hotdog a review.
See Andy Lau in Johnnie To’s Running on Karma for a crazy muscle suit in a deeply spiritual weird-ass movie (I mean that in a good way):
