And it’s the morning of the PRC’s National Day. I wonder how that’s going to work out.

The PRC has lots of practice with this. They deal with this tens of thousands of times every year across China.

  1. Firm police presence
  2. Wait them out.
  3. As interest wanes, arrest the leaders.

Step 3 is going to be trickier in Hong Kong, but Step 2 is easier. The CCP has made it clear that they want Shang Hai to replace Hong Kong as China’s key financial hub, so the old men in charge of China really don’t mind if the kids in the street are disrupting Hong Kong’s economy.
