Years ago, my sister-in-law, who is not the biggest fan of “killing” Christmas trees, brought a potted shrub in from the front yard to decorate. At a subsequent family party she listened with a disapproving look as various tales of tree chopping and decorating were told, and without thinking chimed in, “Well I had just as much fun decorating my festive holiday bush”. You can imagine the remarks and she will never live that down.
