Early on in the PlayStation’s lifecycle, Sony had problems making enough longboxes, so some Sony games were also released in Sega boxes.

Sony made the cases for Sega. As part of the CD consortium they had the patent (now expired) on jewel cases.

As someone who happens to be in the market for some Saturn cases it’s fairly interesting.
