At last, we know who is behind the “Back to work in the plague pits” protests: literal bloodsuckers!

It’s important to remember that social isolation isn’t specific to COVFEFE-19, it’s going to cut down on the transmission of just about everything.

I’ve been wondering if 2021 will be known as The Year Without Colds.

Somehow I managed to get one early this week, despite all precautions.

Nah, because we all have to get back to work or the economy will also die. Can’t have that. All hail Mammon.

Should we request a welfare check on Brett Stephens?

Unfortunately it also depends on temperature and humidity. In warm dry conditions, it’s true the adult bedbugs can’t last longer than a few months without a meal, largely because they desiccate. But at cooler temperatures, they go dormant, and can last as long as 18 months. So it probably depends on region, and whether the hotel keeps the heating on.

After trying very hard to drum up sympathy for the poor starving blood suckers, nope, not a single fuck to be found. Die you stupid parasites.

Oh, you meant actual bedbugs. I thought you meant the DC blood suckers. I will try harder then.

Yeah I wouldn’t get too excited about the prospect of bed bug death. They’re built to last and bred for pesticide resistance!

There, I fixed that for you.

I think it’ll be remembered as “The year without fun”

I can bear their trouble with great fortitude

I assumed it was supposed to be “extensive” instead of “expensive”
