House Judiciary votes to authorize subpoena for full Mueller report

It should be up to a judge, huh? McConnell has made no secret that the primary GOP agenda during Trump’s presidency has been to stack the judiciary with conservative appointments.

“Crook” is a vernacular slur.

“Criminal” is the correct formal term.

I thought that was what the National Emergency at the Border TM is for? Get everyone whipped up about something that is essentially unchanged for two decades and is politically intractable, so that in the background all of Congress and Trump Org Actual can go on stealing everything that isn’t nailed down and destroying whatever is.

There is no crime called collusion!

And it also seems fairly likely the report will say something to the effect of “He committed obstruction of justice, which would be a crime for ANYBODY else in this circumstance, but you know, that Justice Department policy that says the President is above the law…”

Yeah I was going to say:

The difference between judge and political appointee is rapidly shrinking…

not enough evidence of whatever the actual crime would be then. There are definitely laws against allowing foreign powers interfere with elections. “Conspiracy to organize foreign propaganda in a federal election” is less catchy than “collusion”.

And probably the result of the investigation is that the Russians had no interest in taking orders from Trump, they were doing quite well on their own. Hence the “no collusion” ruling.

I prefer vilification of his memory over destruction. People need to remember exactly who he was so they hopefully never repeat this again.

But of course they will, because people flock to the easiest solutions, and nobody offers easier solutions than a confidence man.

But what about obstruction of justice? It is a fully chargeable crime even if there is nothing else to charge. Mueller himself seems to have indicated Trump was NOT exonerated of this crime, and now Barr is sort of going back on his initial 4-page summary, seemingly in anticipation of a much less flattering full report coming out.

Given that Trump admitted that he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation in an interview, I think there’s some pretty good legs on the obstruction charge. Barr seems to have rejected it because Trump may not have done it to save his own bacon, but obstruction is still obstruction if it’s done for someone else (Flynn, Manafort, who definitely committed crimes).

“It is time to return this body to a more normal and reasonable process for fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities no matter which party controls the White House.”

And yet, we know exactly who will be whining and crying the next time Democrats hold the senate: Fucking Mitch McConnell.

Schiff also went on Tucker Carlson and implied he (Tucker) could be a Russian agent, and has gone right along with voting for the increased defense spending Trump has wanted. Schiff May have matured his message with time, but is justifiably criticized.
