Yeah, because they’re using wuss Tenebrio Molitor. If you want mealworms to eat something try a tub full of Zophobas Morio.
The ones I’ve got here can consume large things in a frighteningly short amount of time (also, if you give them broccoli or other brassicas expect the room to be filled with horrible worm fart smell).

Even meal worms don’t like cold McD fries.
I’ve watched my chickens almost completely devour a pigeon (which they cornered and killed!) in less than 25 mins.
I miss them. And their pigeon-scented eggs.

Ha! Yeah, out of the blue one day they killed one of their own. Ate her neck and nothing else. I love having the eggs, but they’re strange birds, so o speak.
