Talk to me about how to waterproof such a concept.
I am thinking powered by an Anker USB battery.
RUN LED?
Just be careful if you wear it at an airport.
Awesome hack. But you gotta incorporate EL strips instead of LEDs to take this to the next level. It’ll be cleaner and more Cyberpunk 2077.

LEDs should be waterproof but you can buy strips that are meant to be used outside. The battery should be easy to unplug should you need to wash the jacket. I was also thinking that if one didn’t need the jacket to be washable i’d use EL wire since that has better light diffusion.
Edit: Also when in doubt one could always dry clean as their machines don’t use water it may be easier on the electronics? I don’t know for sure but its something to consider.
Agreed, came to here to say that. EL wire would provide a much cooler look. IMO.
I’ve found EL wire to be kinda delicate and easily broken. If you know of a tough brand that can withstand lots of bending, please share!
