In UK you might get stopped for obscuring lights/registration plate unless some sort of tailboard were fitted to duplicate them. Not that many cars ever do get stopped and I’ve seen enough dickheads totally ignore those regulations…

Technically, the same thing applies in the USA, but it’s a minor infraction unless you’ve managed to {piss off the cop|drive while colored|etc…}

Works for a light bike and heavy moto. Otherwise you get wheely safety wheel.
