Possum or Opossum?
Opossum gets my vote. Possum sounds like it is being spelled with a 'postrophe.

Not to mention possums are an entirely different animal.

All I can say is MIND = BLOWN. (actually all I wanted to say was “MIND = BLOWN” but this stupid comment software wouldn’t let me, so I had to add all this other stuff.)
