If you’re going to tape and you have small strong magnets, why not tape magnets to the wall? That way you get a stronger hold.

I concur the yellow or blue poster putty works great.
Second recommendation for Command Strips which can hang quite hefty pieces of art and can be removed quickly and with no damage.
Worth shopping around online as there are usually discounts on them from one or another major retailer.
磁 literally just translates as magnetic/magnetism (and, apparently sometimes, in a stretch, “porcelain”). So going from “magnetic” to “attracting” then to “self-attracting,” etc. all has to happen with associations that only work in English.
That makes sense, though why then wasn’t it “masturbation magnet”? I’m guessing some text got deleted somewhere in the translation process, so it was trying to make sense of “マス 石.”
