Maybe all the ghost-hunting ‘celebrities’ can pool their money and buy it. Then they can spend the next four years walking around in the dark saying “What was that?!?” in one place.
But… why? Seems like a casino group like Harrah’s would be one of the few groups well monetized enough actually renovate it. Otherwise it will be a knock-down attractive nuisance in 10-20 years.
Right. Cause that usually works out great in the cities that have poured millions in tax credits and outright disbursements into “entertainment districts”. Hell, why not make it an Olympic village and petition for the 2030 games? Real benefit to the city, there. Or maybe give Foxconn a call.

If I had to guess, the city probably has some kind of exclusivity deal with Rivers Casino. But that’s just a guess based on the kinds of short-sighted and semi-crooked deals Pittsburgh specializes in.
