I had a tooth appear in the roof of my mouth as a kid. As it turned out, it wasn’t an extra one, but one of my adult bicuspids coming in there instead of in my lower jaw. They yanked it, but for most of my life I have had a primary (baby tooth) molar instead of one of my adult bicuspids.

I can’t help but wonder if this could be harnessed to replace lost teeth in adults.
