Yep; love him as an actor, was underwhelmed by everything else in the film.
Another great one like this is Germany, Year Zero. A tale of survival in post-war bombed out Berlin. Utterly bleak, and making it to the end rewards one with devastating heartbreak. At least it’s relatively short.
Still, it’s a really great movie that I’m glad I watched.
Everyone should see Pan’s Labyrinth, but then again it’s just my opinion that quality matters more than anything else. I like seeing great filmmaking, even if a movie’s in a particular category that’s not my cup of tea.
Perhaps Rob should just send it to a safe haven?
