No skeletal remains where a boy wizard was walled inside several books ago?
Wooot!!
Don’t be so disappointed, it means he escaped! Either that or he’s in the safe.
Could you hear the doubloons splashing around?
If you pick it up and shake it, does it rattle?
Don’t give me excuses, it’s a simple question.
Arrrrr. There be treasure in that thar locker if you be hearin’ it rattlin’.
Maybe he’s in the upside down?
Those hinges aren’t very convincing.
That gave me a good laugh.
I feel rather ambivalent over all of these recent developments. The end of this thread might be nigh!
Though at this pace it might take a few more months…
My bet is the lock mechanism extends into the frame on all 4 sides. This would prevent the door from opening, even with the hinges removed.
If you pick it up and shake it, does it rattle?
yeah, are we getting LEGOs for christmas?
I saw a safe quite like that one today, abandoned and open, in an old industrial space.
Heads up on the likely asbestos liner, quite likely to be exposed on the back of the door, should you choose to drill/lance/force your way in.
Asbestos - not even once. It’s some seriously nasty stuff, and I seem to recall reading of cases where even a single exposure is supposed to have lead to lung cancer.
Asbestos - not even once.
…looks at walls and ceilings…
It’s not that bad if you know it’s there.
Yeah, the trick is never exposing anyone to it. As long as you can do that, it’s fine. Just beware of accidents…
using a few lengths of copper pipe, rolling it on them and moving the last one out the back forward to the front, pyramid builder style.
Having moved a rather large generator with such things, keep in mind you want steel pipes to do any such rolling, otherwise you may get flat pipes.
Meh. Try growing up in it

I randomly looked this up last year and from what i recall asbestos is not 100% forbidden from being used in the US in construction. There are some exceptions where it’s seemingly allowed.
Isn’t it repeated exposure that leads to problems? Thus, workers who do that sort of work wear those sort of clothes? And why you don’t want it semi-permanently exposed in a home?
