In the first video, the obnoxious dude resigns the match when his queen was about to be taken.
His king and queen were under simultaneous separate threats, and he has to protect the king first. Spending a move to protect the king means the queen would drop in the next round. After that, the game would pretty much be over except for the drawn-out groans of anguish. Particularly in his case - he would be left with a single rook and a bunch of pawns, vs a queen + knight + pawns. It’s pretty normal to resign at this point.
