Um, off-topic… I need a copy of that album…

I DO have this one, though:

And it’s great… although I despise the Bono cover of Hallelujah, I could listen to several of the tracks on repeat forever… Suzanne Vega, Martin Gore, Peter Gabriel, Tori Amos, Sting and the Chieftains, Willie Nelson… I even have a fondness for the don Henley version of Everybody Knows…

Also, the cover looks like one of my old friend’s mother in her youth (the mother, not my friend, who is my age).

The Jeff Buckley cover of “Hallelujah” rules all the schools, though.

Also: Wait… that painting is previously from the rear of Songs of Leonard Cohen, right?

I save the liquid left over from cooking pinto beans and use it’s water when I make bread. It produces a loaf that smells and tastes like a light rye. Probably infuses some protein into it too.

Yes, the Cale version is the canonical version, in fact (sorry Leonard!)…Anyone who says otherwise is wrong, of course.

And yep, that sounds correct… looks correct!

Love the sourdough posts. Keep em coming!

Q. for the hive mind: What is your favorite way to take sourdough on international flights? I tried spreading a layer on wax paper, drying, and then bagging up as a kind of cracker–then rehydrating. Not good results.

Why not a smaller than 3oz plastic container?
