Fair enough. It’s possible he’s just been practicing at the Trump school of lying.
Still, Trump is a gold-medal Olympian in his capacity to shamelessly lie (telling believable lies would be a separate event). I don’t credit most people with the capacity to tell repeated straight up lies when they know the truth will inevitably be discovered. Most people crack a bit when faced with a situation like that. Then again, I’m sure more than a couple percent of house representatives are entirely remorseless, so maybe they can keep up with Trump. It is a plausible alternate theory.
