It didn’t help that the usual second-day symptoms I get coincided with a bad sinus headache, and I didn’t think I could take the pain relievers I’d usually take for fear they might impede the vaccine… so it really kicked my butt this time around. Spent a lot of time sleeping that day, or resting as much as I could. But if the reaction to the vaccine is so bad, I’d much rather have that than a full blown case of Covid.
And I got my booster now because there’s a family gathering coming up, for my grandmother’s birthday. By the time it happens, my protection should be fully on-line. We try to be very careful, keeping get-togethers small and outside as much as possible… but she’s getting older, and we want to spend time with her while we can.
You’ll be among the very few who do mask down here. No one has given me a hassle about it or even said anything directly, at least not recently. Then again, I don’t go to many places where that might be more of an issue, like political gatherings cleverly masquerading as churches.
We turned down an invite to a graduation party for 3 of our great nieces and nephew because we would be the only ones not hugging, kissing or just be too close for comfort.
Problem is they all know my health and why I take precautions but they all want to hug. I don’t get why they can’t respect my wishes and make me have to say please back off.
