That wavy roof is over the entire station, which handles metro network traffic and is the hub for the country and interstate lines. The wavy roof keeps the rain off, but does nothing to stop the wind or the cold or the heat. But at least it doesn’t rain?
A friend worked for the financiers of the winning bidder, and told me when the architects unveiled the model, folks (mostly merchant bankers, to be fair*) immediately dubbed it the boob roof.
