Yup, it sure looks like a starter for a stork’s nest. Traditionally, people would fix an old wagon wheel on their roof to attract storks because they are thought to bring good luck.

It’s at a house where I’m feeding some cats. The book is with others in boxes on the sunporch. I think they’re destined to go in a Little Free Library, if they ever get it set up. I’m thinking of asking if I could have the book!
