I never watched that show, but you just gave me Spy Hunter flashbacks.

Oh, you missed out. The best part was that the semi trailer that served as a mobile headquarters for the Knight foundation had a full service auto shop and lounge that was actually much larger on the inside than the outside. They never really explained why the truck never just pulled over to let KITT in and out though.

It must have had something to do with the production values, but my 11 year old brain couldn’t muster the suspension of disbelief necessary at the time.

Bingo!
And the haircuts seem familiar too.
The big guy in the hi viz jacket sounds like a Londoner to me.

OH! It was a Tardis!

a towing company here in philadelphia was in then news recently for allegedly running a scam with a no parking sign they would hastily put up and take down. http://www.phillymag.com/news/2016/08/24/south-philly-man-says-he-captured-a-tow-truck-bait-scheme-on-video/

Not exactly a tow truck, but… that’s an Aston Martin Vantage, about $130,000 worth of automobile. Wouldn’t want to be either of those two guys.

“I’ll just drive my car off this tow truck, what could go wrong” is a comma splice.

That’ll buff right out.

What, the comma splice?

Yes, it’s in Dublin, Ireland. And no, racial profiling has nothing to do with why he’s not been arrested yet and more to do with the lack of Gardaí (probably). Plus, it probably only took 2 mins for him to get in the car on the back of the truck and do that! If he’d got there before they lifted the car off the ground, the tow company legally have to unhook the car and give it back to him. Once all 4 wheels are off the ground, he has to get his car back from the impound after paying a large fine.

Dublin. They’re Dublin accents.
