I have to say - that is a truly terrible chicken impression. I’m not sure doing it with actual chickens would be any more listenable, but someone should give it a try - we have the technology, after all.

I’m reasonably certain I’ve seen this when it aired back then.
This was in episode 10 of Bananas, air date 1982-04-27 [source].
They did stuff like that. All the time. Because reasons having brainstorming and writing sessions at a variety of local pubs. Q.v. Schnapsidee, only theirs usually worked, after a fashion.
They also had sketches between the the music videos, and those had originally been written for Not the Nine O’clock News. Which was kinda weird for me when years later I first watched Not the Nine O’Clock News - I knew I hadn’t seen this before, and yet I knew the skits.
